How to Practice
Safety first. This is an advanced practice. Skip it if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or managing high blood pressure, heart conditions, or panic disorders. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy or lightheaded.
1. Sit with your spine straight and your hands resting on your knees.
2. Take a normal breath in through your nose.
3. Exhale sharply through your nose by pulling your belly inward.
4. The inhale happens on its own as the belly relaxes — let it.
5. Continue rhythmically: short sharp exhale, passive inhale.
6. Rest between rounds. Take a few normal breaths before beginning again.
